About Ghost Gramps
What's Up Gramps
I’m Dennis, better known around these parts as Ghost Gramps.
I’ve been living full-time in an RV since 2016, traveling backroads, exploring forgotten places, photographing old buildings, chasing local history, and occasionally wandering into places where common sense probably should’ve told me to turn around.
What’s Up Gramps is where I share the places and stories I find along the way—haunted locations, overlooked history, abandoned and unusual places, boondocking spots, road trips, photographs, videos, and practical adventure guides.
Life has slowed me down some, but it hasn’t stopped my curiosity. These days I may travel a little differently and take a few more coffee breaks, but I still believe there’s something worth discovering around nearly every bend in the road.
I’m joined on this adventure by Edith, my wire-haired schnauzer, and Archie, my orange-and-white tabby cat. Between the two of them, I have a complete furry supervision department.
This site isn’t about polished tourist brochures or seeing only the famous attractions. It’s about the forgotten roads, small towns, old cemeteries, strange stories, peaceful campsites, and overlooked places most folks pass without noticing.
Pull up a chair, pour yourself some coffee, and come along. There are still plenty of stories left to find.
Welcome to What’s Up Gramps.
